VI - “Astronomia - Guia compacto” - Review
[EN]
Last days bad weather has hindered me of carrying through any type of astronomical observations. Currently I’m rereading the book “Astronomy - compact Guide” of the Lisma publishing company. It is an introductory book, very basic and adjusted to the one who is just starting. For a pocket book it is sufficiently complete and it contains many illustrations and color photographs. It gives simple and summarized explanations of many topics but, sometimes, it seems excessively simplified and gives the sensation that we’re reading an encyclopedia for childreen. It brings some celestial maps and presents some of the most visually interesting objects of each constellation. The presentation of the solar system is relatively complete. It was bought in the FNAC store where it can be acquired by only 7.92€. For that price I highly recommend it. However, for whom already has some (even few) knowledge of astronomy and intends to deepen that knowledge even more, this is not, for sure, the book he’s looking for. It is too simple.
About the bad weather… not everything was bad because it brought thunderstorms that are always a wander of the nature. I tried to photograph the lightnings but without appreciable success. I’ll post the best picture that I managed to get.
