LXXXIII. The Moon and the 7 sisters

2009-04-27 - The Moon & The Pleiades
The Moon and Mercury joined the most beautiful open cluster of the sky - the Pleiades. Unfortunately this show was not meant to be seen by all - here on Thursday, and all over the country, the clouds dominated the sky.
A few seconds of visibility (or so it seemed) allowed me to catch the moon and the Pleiades … the first and smallest planet in the Solar System was already hidden behind the horizon. The brief moment was not sufficient for me to achieve an acceptable focus and the result is what you see in the image above.
